We welcome dogs of all ages, from puppies as young as 12 weeks to senior companions over 10 years old. Our environment is carefully structured to ensure every pup feels safe and comfortable.
How do I book a pick-up and drop-off?
Booking is simple! You can reserve your spot through our online portal or by contacting us directly. We provide a safe, reliable, and convenient pick-up service across East Auckland to South Auckland.
Is there a structured enrichment program?
Absolutely. Our daycare provides a safe, structured, and enriching environment where dogs can play, socialise, and relax under the supervision of experienced handlers.
What happens if my dog is anxious or has special needs?
We understand every dog is unique. We welcome each dog with open arms and believe in creating a place where both pups and their humans feel comfortable, valued, and cared for.
Do you provide a home-away-from-home feel?
Yes, we provide a home away from home for your furry friends. Aunty Tarshie’s was founded to provide dogs with the company, care, and fun they deserve during the day.
What time will my dog be picked up and dropped off?
Pickup and drop-off times vary depending on our daily route. We will provide an estimated timeframe and keep you informed of any changes.
Does my dog need to wear a harness?
Yes. For safety, all dogs must wear a secure, well-fitted harness when being picked up and transported in our daycare van.
Are vaccinations required?
All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations before attending daycare to help keep our pack healthy and safe.
Does my dog need to be desexed?
Yes. All dogs attending daycare must be desexed. This helps us maintain a safe, comfortable, and harmonious environment for all members of our daycare pack.
What happens if my dog doesn't get along with other dogs?
We carefully assess each dog and supervise all interactions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Most dogs settle in well and enjoy being part of the pack, however some dogs may find a group daycare environment overwhelming or unsuitable. If we feel that daycare is not the best fit for your pup, we will discuss this with you and may recommend that they no longer attend for the safety and wellbeing of all dogs in our care.
Do you accept puppies?
Absolutely! Puppies are welcome once they have completed their required vaccinations. Daycare can be a great way for young dogs to build confidence and social skills.
What should I do if my dog won't be attending?
If your pup won't be attending daycare, please let us know as early as possible so we can update our transport schedule. We are available for calls and texts between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. A quick text first thing in the morning to let us know your dog is staying home is absolutely fine and helps us plan our day efficiently.
What happens if my dog becomes unwell during daycare?
If your dog shows signs of illness or injury, we will contact you immediately and take appropriate action to ensure they receive the care they need.
Can my dog attend only certain days of the week?
Absolutely! When completing your enrolment form, simply select the days you would like your pup to attend. We will then discuss availability and work with you to create a daycare schedule that suits your needs.
Is there an assessment before my dog joins daycare?
Yes. All dogs are assessed during their first few daycare visits. This assessment period allows us to observe how your pup interacts with other dogs, responds to the daycare environment, and settles into the pack. Most dogs adjust well and enjoy the daycare experience, however the safety and wellbeing of all dogs in our care is our top priority. If, during the assessment period, we determine that daycare is not the right fit for your dog, we will discuss this with you and may advise that they do not continue attending daycare.
